Hip Hop Bpm Range
RnB & Hip Hop [ DJ's WHO DJ AT CLUBS ]?
All deejays who dj at clubs, what bpm do you guys mix at… cause i have only recently started to learn how to mix rnb and hiphop but i find that the bpm ranges are everywhere…. so im wondering at clubs what the bpm is at, cause i rekon 90bpm is too slow to get people dancing in clubs….
it sounds way faster… so is there like diff versions? what are the fast versions called of songs… thanks
If ur talkin about “blends” then welcome to the world of DJ’ing. People think u just play music but dont realize all that goes in it. BPM(tempo) will always be “all over the place”. 90 is not too slow. 88 is a common speed of BPM cause alot of rappers are comfortable rapping @ that tempo. 110-115 should be ur absolute max BPM. anything above 120 is usually getting into the techno/pop club speed. DO NOT LISTEN TO HI-HATS when mixing! They will throw u off. “Compare the Snares” If ur close but not on point adjust the pitch. Practice ur mixes n get them right b4 u do them in the club. If u start f-ckin up you’ll hear “Kill The DJ!!!!”
