Hip Hop Artwork

Do you think hip hop is dead?
Art is eternal, forever immortalized through the passion of the artist, and lives on through the message it has to convey. Artwork has stood the test of time, and even though some arts forms haven’t been practiced lately doesn’t mean that form of art is dead…there are still so many amazing artists out there, who remain eloquent poets, even though they’re hard to come by…but idk, I think as a genre, it’s either dead or dying a slow painful death. Whatcha think?
Yeah it’s true that the younger white generation are big consumers. There aren’t a lot of white people where I live but I know that they are buying more than any other demographic.
But he’s right, hip hop is not about who buys what or sells the most. I think what matters is the message and if you chose to successfully receive that message. Not just front like you do…and Saturday night I have a hip hop show to promote lol
maybe you all should come.
Mainstream Hip-Hop is dead as we know it.
BUT
Undergorund Hip-Hop is alive and well
btw Missy,Im not doing anything on Satuday night, maybe if you’re not busy we can…
EDIT:Im going to point something out,how many times are we going to say,”Its not dead but it’s dying”?We’ve been saying that for the last 2 years and a half.Dont you think its already dead by now?You people say it like as if someone or something will bring it back from the dead.HIP-HOP IS DEAD.Nas said it best!!(This statement refers to mainstream hip-hop,NOT underground)

That thousands of funk-junkie wannabes have since failed at re-creating its groove, breaking-the-law vibe, and ear-spl… |

Ill Communication $6.16 By 1994 the Beasties had settled into their cultural role as the grand arbiters of cool, and Ill Communication is pretty much a catalog of coolness: live funk, a bit of hardcore, ingenious samples of obscure records, keyboards by analogue master Money Mark, guest shots by Q-Tip and Biz Markie, MCA’s cop-show metal number “Sabotage,” and the inevitable cascade of witty old-school rhymes. But it’s a… |
