Hip Hop Abs or Core Rhythms?

Hi, I’ve been watching the informercials and definitely want to try one of these DVD workouts but wonder which one is the most ‘do-able’. I recently saw the Core Rhythms but read a few negative things on some online reviews. It does look effective though. Also up for consideration is ‘Zumba’.

Has anyone tried any one of these three As-Seen-On-TV workouts and have feedback you’d wish to share?
Thanks so much in advance, Lori

I buy lots of these DVDs to get new ideas.

They definitely work, but honestly, the whole “dancing thing” isn’t for me. I mean, I do my cardio workouts at 6 AM. I want to work it, not dance. I think they are really corny to be honest. Lots of ppl like it though. I like more “raw” is all.

The ones that I do like are P90X, Slim-In-Six, and 10-Minute Trainer. All from Beachbody.com. Unlike many many MANY, cheaper workouts, these are balanced, stress form, and are engaging. They aren’t some blond bimbo will big boobs tellin me “You can do it!”. Because honestly, I could whoop some of them girls in a fitness contests. And that’s not motivating.

DVD’s provide (hopefully) motivation, a balanced workout schedule that covers your entire body, a nutrition plan, or at least some idea of how many calories the workout burns, Plus good instruction on correct form.

Ann – I think you are incorrect. What your saying is “don’t go to any class-based or use any instructional workouts, because the movements are free”. The movements may not cost anything, but the instruction, motivation, and balanced workout plan are ALL worth money to learn and understand.

I mean, doing Mathematics is “free” too right– but you have to learn HOW first.
