Create Hip Hop Flyers
What creative ways can we reach college students with our street team in Atlanta?
Im marketing lead for an event that features hip hop, spoken word, rap, skits and other arts. Its like Def Jame poetry mixed with unplugged mixed with a Jay-Z concert. Hard to pic but true. We pass out flyers as we are set to hit several of the main colleges here in Atlanta but with small budget we MUST be creative to stand out and be effective. Everybody in Atl is passing out a flyer for something so I just want some ideas on things you have done or have seen or think would work. The name of the college tour is tentatively called “The BLACK OUT College Tour”. I thought about 4-5 people dressed like electricians telling college students to remember a certain date (that we are on their campus) because a BLACK OUT is coming…maybe giving them lil flashlights with our myspace page or logo on it…IT HAS TO STAND OUT..
I need people to say wow..that was creative..i might just check it out..or ask other people if they got the same question and flyer?

Get the college radio and regular radio stations to mention it. Blog it… and posters of course all around the colleges and venue. That should help.
