Best Mp3 Music Manager
Loading .M3U playlists in Visual Basic 2008?
Hello,
I have a Visual Basic 2008 program that builds music playlists and stores them to .M3U format, then opens those .M3U’s back up to be edited later. The problem I am having is that my program can open and load only the same .M3U’s that it spits out, because it creates .M3U’s that are really simplistic, containing continuous rows of “dir/path/filename.mp3″, etc. My program can’t load any of the .M3U’s created in Windows Media Player or Winamp, as those files are much more complicated and seem to be missing some information that is crucial for my program to successfully load the songs. Naturally, WMP and Winamp each know how to interchangeably load each other’s playlists without any difficulty or confusion.
Anyone who has tried their hand at VB2008 before, tried to make a playlist manager, and ended up experiencing the same difficulty that I am facing, please kindly help out a novice, I would appreciate it. The best answer is the one that gets selected.
